Meet Integrity: The new virtue taking the place of honesty

Honesty. It's a strong word that in short means you won't lie, cheat, deceive others, or pretend to be something you are not. As a result people can trust that you are as you appear.

But there's a stronger virtue now that we here at the Interconnection Fellowship are replacing with honesty, and that word is "integrity". It encompasses honesty's basic underlying meanings and enhances them.

Dictionary.com and Wikipedia describe Integrity as "the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. Integrity is [also] standing up for what you believe is right and living by your highest values."

When you live with integrity, you live your best self and therefore your best life. It is the ultimate gift and honor you provide yourself, as well as the universe and everything connected to it.
